Critical Hits When you score a critical hit, you get to roll extra dice for the attack’s damage against the target. Roll all of the attack’s damage dice twice and add them together. Then add any relevant modifiers as normal. To speed up play, you can roll all the damage dice at once.

BetaBrutal Critical. At 17th level, you can roll three additional weapon damage dice when determining the extra damage for a critical hit with a melee attack. I want to read this that when they crit while wielding a Greatsword that they would roll 3 extra sets of the damage dice, or 6d6. I get the feeling that it would only be 3d6.

BetaSuperior Critical. Starting at 15th level, your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 18–20. The Hexblade's Curse grants them Improved Critical against a single target (for...some reason). There is no way to get a higher critical multiplier.
