Educate about/on - WordReference Forums
We cannot know what, exactly the speaker means. If we take the default meaning then neither sound idiomatic. They sound as if they have been translated directly from Japanese. "I like educating people on the subject of my culture."

Apparently saying "I will educate you" can seem rude. Why?
It's because "educate" has an institutional connotation. If you (in a non-institutional setting) tell someone you will "educate them" it comes off as patronizing because you're setting yourself up as an expert and your interlocuters as ignorant students. It's much better to say "I will explain it" because we use "explain" for most contexts.
