Betaso I guess the energy saving comes from cold water being leaked out from the bottom, rather than the same volume of hot water being leaked out at the top – I think my calculations suggested my hot water cost me 2c/litre, or 10x my cold water cost of 0.2c/litre – so OK saving that 'wasted' water cost I guess
