prepositions - education in/on maths and history - English Language ...
But the short answer is that if you insist on getting a preposition in there, it would almost always be in. Compare Google Books results for an education in science (about 9400 hits) to one single hit for the same with on. Ok. Thanks for your time. I will keep in in my text.

Prepositions after "educate": "educate in" or "educate at"?
Most dance people need to be educated in the ways of normal living and learn what body movements mean to other people. Executive Chef Paul Lee, who coincidentally was educated in my hometown of Guildford, never actually studied to be a chef. He was educated at Eton and Cambridge. Harold was educated at the Dunmow Church Schools.

educated about or educated on? : r/EnglishLearning - Reddit
I think "on" might be more common in the US; in British English I'd only expect to hear "about". They are both correct, use the one that sounds better to you. Another option would be "educated in" (at least in the US).
