Python Slicing – How to Slice an Array and What Does [::-1] Mean?
Here, we specify a start of index 2, no end, and a step of -1. Slicing here will start from index 2 which is 3. The negative steps mean the next value in the slice will be at an index smaller than the previous index by 1. This means 2 - 1 which is 1 so the value at this index, which is 2 will be added to the slice.

What does the percentage sign mean in Python [duplicate]
The % does two things, depending on its arguments. In this case, it acts as the modulo operator, meaning when its arguments are numbers, it divides the first by the second and returns the remainder.34 % 10 == 4 since 34 divided by 10 is three, with a remainder of four.. If the first argument is a string, it formats it using the second argument.

syntax - What do >> and << mean in Python? - Stack Overflow
The other case involving print >>obj, "Hello World" is the "print chevron" syntax for the print statement in Python 2 (removed in Python 3, replaced by the file argument of the print() function).Instead of writing to standard output, the output is passed to the obj.write() method. A typical example would be file objects having a write() method. . See the answer to a more recent question ...

Python String question: What does [::-1] mean? - Sololearn
If you leave slots empty, there's a default. [:] means: The whole thing. [::1] means: Start at the beginning, end when it ends, walk in steps of 1 (which is the default, so you don't even need to write it). [::-1] means: Start at the end (the minus does that for you), end when nothing's left and walk backwards by 1.

>> operator in Python - Stack Overflow
(Pretty much the same as "moving a decimal point to the left in a decimal number means dividing by 10", but you lose what is after point, rounding down). ----- A left shft, on the other hand, means doubling (compare to moving a decimal point to the right: means multiply by 10) –
