A barrister and a barista are radically different callings.

A barista is a recent Italian term for a bar tender. Both words sound the same. When I hear a person say either word they come across as trying too hard. But mean much different things. 6 year old me would thing this is a gender difference between the two words. As in a barrister is a male barista!
