Software dev here. It is literally an artifact from being used as a performance tool and certain games for artistic purposes. In most games these days not only does it not belong and is not necessary but it makes the games look worse.

Alan Wake 2 problems with grain. Hi. For the start, I have tried native fsr, native and txaa (forced via ini file), disabled grain, lens distortion, depth of field, and vignette effects. For unknown reasons reflection in this game are pixelated, doty, grained. Other users say they don't have it, so I guess it's AMD driver issue.

Seconding this, this is likely DLSS. DLSS will actively try to lower the image quality of game assets to achieve a target framerate. If you haven’t updated your graphics driver within, say, the past month or so, try updating it now.

2#. First up your dimensions are wrong. A raw image should be 5464x3640 zoomed in that far will show some pixelation. Second there is no reason to be shooting with the settings you are using. Lower your iso to 100 and reduce your shutter speed. you should try to use full f-stops. Fulls are 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8 and 11.
